Cinquième album du CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL, 'Cosmo's factory' atteint la première place du classement correspondant aux USA et en Angleterre. 

Parmi les titres "Run through the jungle" atteint la 4ème place du Hot 100, "Up around the bend" devient également n° 4, "Who'll stop the rain" n° 2 tout comme "Lookin' out my back door".

On y retrouve également la reprise du "I heard it through the grapevine" de Marvin GAYE.
