Après deux albums enregistrés sur 'Bang', Neil DIAMOND arrive chez 'Uni' en mars 1968. Sorti en 1969 'Touching you touching me' est son troisième album sur ce nouveau label.
Il ne contient que neuf titres dont quelques reprises:
- "Everybody's talkin'" - un succès pour NILSSON (1968)
- "Mr bojangles" - créé par Jerry Jeff WALKER (1968)
- "Both sides now" - créé par Judy COLLINS (1967)
- "Until it's time for you to go" - créé par Buffy SAINTE-MARIE (1965)
son titre "Holly holy" est repris par Jr WALKER (1969).
